COURSES:
American Literature, British Literature, Grammar / Comp, Spring Play, Visual Literature, Yearbook
We have lived in Indiana for the last 20 years, but home for me is Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Although now a Hoosier, I am still a big Wildcats fan. After prayerful consideration, Paul and I decided to homeschool our children. I taught both children K-12, with the exception of the Northpoint classes they attended the last 2 years of their high school careers. During this time, I taught classes such as How to Write Effectively to other students in a homeschool co-op class, and team taught Introduction to Literary Analysis and World Literature. After Matt and Audrey left for college, I began teaching at Northpoint. I have taught Grammar and Composition, American Literature, British Literature, and Visual Literature at Northpoint for the past 4 years. In addition to teaching I have co-directed the spring play for the past two years and have tutored some students individually this past year. I very much enjoy teaching and like to keep my classes interactive. My choice of teaching materials is primarily Abeka curriculum for Grammar and Composition and classic works for my literature classes. One of my passions is reading, and I hope to pass this love of reading on to my students.

Gary L. Stump, Pastor, Onward Church, Fishers, Indiana. Gary tells, "As a native Hoosier I was in the business world for almost 20 years, but became a pastor after my wife was killed when our car was hit by a drunk driver. It left me with four children to rear. Through this experience God taught me the value of my faith and my family in a profound way. In 1989 I remarried, Kathy, and together we raised our four children—all of whom are now married and faithfully serving the Lord through the ministries of their local churches. In addition to the four children, we have one more son born in 1998, and twelve grandchildren. One of my greatest joys is having all the kids and grandkids over to our house for dinner. The chaos and noise is awesome! For recreation I root for the Colts, play golf, and fish with my son in the pristine streams and rivers of upstate New York." Sara Nist

COURSES:
Bible (1st-3rd)
Sara began playing “teacher” as a little girl, but studied to become one at Bowling Green State University in Ohio, majoring in Communications Education with minors in Speech and English. Involvement with Campus Crusade for Christ in college brought two great gifts from God. The first was meeting Andy Nist; the second was being discipled - growing in faith in Christ and in love for, and understanding of, the Bible. Upon graduation, Sara had the privilege of teaching high school English classes in both public and parochial schools. Formal teaching was set aside in 2000 to make room for becoming a mom (eventually receiving three precious “gifts”). While substituting for Angie Unruh at NP in the fall of 2011, Sara’s passion for classroom teaching was re-awakened! Teaching Bible at Northpoint feels like the most recent gift from a faithful God.

Gary Stump

COURSES:
Bible - Overview of Biblical Creation and the End Times (7th Grade), Bible - Overview of Biblical Creation and the End Times(8th Grade), Bible (4-6)
For recreation I root for the Colts, play golf, and fish with my son in the pristine streams and rivers of upstate New York." Gary Studied at Indiana University, The American College, Crossroads Bible College and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
