Our Approach

Northpoint provides the framework of a traditional school—instruction, grading, curriculum, and academic guidance, while families enjoy the rhythm and freedom that a hybrid model allows.

  • Preschool–8th Grade students enroll full time and receive all core subjects plus enriching electives.

  • 9th–12th Grade students enroll on an à la carte basis, with many choosing a full course load through Northpoint, including traditional and honors classes as well as in-person or online dual credit options through Indiana Wesleyan University.

Northpoint is independently funded and not governed by state programs, allowing us to remain faith-led, mission-driven, and family-focused. Our decisions are guided by biblical values, not government mandates—so we can stay true to our calling and responsive to the families we serve.

At Northpoint, families truly experience the best of both worlds:

  • Academic excellence, Christ-centered instruction

  • The freedom of a hybrid homeschool community

Choosing the Right Educational Path in Indiana

Indiana families have more educational options than ever. While state-funded programs can reduce tuition costs, they also come with increased oversight and requirements. At Northpoint Christian Academy, we believe some freedoms are worth protecting.

A Side-by-Side Comparison for Indiana Families

Why Some Families Choose to Invest More

Lower cost doesn’t always mean greater freedom.

Families who choose Northpoint often do so because they value:

  • Christ-centered teaching without compromise
Our faith integration is not adjusted to meet state expectations.

  • Freedom from shifting government mandates
Our policies, curriculum, and classroom practices are guided by mission—not legislation.

  • A consistent educational philosophy
What we teach today will still reflect our values tomorrow.

  • A true partnership with families
Parents remain actively engaged without carrying the full weight of homeschooling.

  • A hybrid rhythm that supports family life
Time at home allows for discipleship, flexibility, and real-life learning.

For many families, the decision comes down to this:
Do we want the lowest cost—or the greatest alignment with our convictions?

“We choose to remain independently funded so we can stay faith-led, not state-led.”

We believe protecting our Christ-centered mission, academic flexibility, and family partnership is worth the investment.

Indiana School Choice offers affordability.
Northpoint offers freedom.

Common Questions About Indiana School Choice Vouchers

  • Northpoint chooses to remain independently funded so we can stay fully faith-led, not state-led. Accepting vouchers would require additional state oversight that would impact our curriculum, assessments, policies, and long-term mission.

  • Voucher-funded schools must meet state requirements that influence curriculum choices, testing, and instructional practices. Every student is required to participate in state-mandated testing each year and schools must fully align with state standards within three years of accepting vouchers. Remaining independent allows Northpoint to integrate biblical truth freely and consistently across all subjects, direct our attention to content mastery and avoid the changes that come with “teaching to the test”.

  • Many families value the freedom, flexibility, and mission alignment that come with an independent academic model. They see tuition as an investment in a Christ-centered education that isn’t subject to changing government mandates.

  • At this time, our leadership is committed to protecting the mission and structure that have guided Northpoint since 2005 and have no plans to accept vouchers as long as they require full state oversight.

  • We work hard to keep tuition as affordable as possible and offer scholarship support through our independently funded programs, allowing families to pursue a Northpoint education without state involvement. Fundraisers throughout the year allow families to raise money to directly offset your child’s tuition cost. Families are also able to participate in a referral program for sponsors that can directly reduce their tuition cost.
